5 Days To Go!

For those who are able to arrive to the region a bit earlier, we’ve planned a few optional activities throughout the week to spend more time together.

Everyone is welcome.

The below times are subject to change. Please check back in, come June, for solidified times.

The following activities (Wed & Thurs) are about 1.5 hours from the wedding venue, on the coast (west of Bordeaux):

Wednesday 17th - 7-10pm

🍸 Cocktails & sunset at La Corniche

46 Avenue Louis Gaume, 33115 Pyla-sur-Mer

Join us at this beautiful hotel with a (9:53pm) sunset view over the Atlantic. Food & drinks available for purchase.

RSVP not required, but welcomed

Rain plan: La Corniche's indoor seating

Dress code: upscale casual

Thursday 18th - 10am

🏜️ Climb the Dune du Pilat

Route de Biscarrosse RD 218, 33115 Pyla-sur-Mer

A short, steep walk to the top of Europe’s highest sand dune, with stunning views over the ocean and the forest. If you're coming to Arcachon, this is a must! The hike's not difficult.

€7 to park. We'll meet just past the parking lot at the Tourist Information Center.

RSVP not required, but recommended

Rain plan: No organized plan, but we'll see you Thursday afternoon. Try to check out the dune independently Friday!

Dress code: For the dune, wear either sneakers or slip on sandals to go barefoot. You could also go for a swim here.

Thursday 18th - 1pm

🏄 Paddle boarding on the Bassin d’Arcachon

Meeting point: Loueurs Arcagliss (Arcagliss Rentals) at Plage Arbousiers (Arbousiers beach), 33120 Arcachon. At 18 allées des Arbousiers, next to "Le Bikini" restaurant (where you could get lunch).

A leisurely 1 hour paddle together along the coast, with a beach hang after.

Cost: €17 for board rental

RSVP kindly requested by May 20th

Rain plan: If it's raining more than a sprinkle, we'll go inside to get afternoon oysters at the "Le Bikini" restaurant directly next door.

The following activities (Fri-Sun) are close to the wedding venue, in wine country (east of Bordeaux):

Friday 19th - 5-7pm

🍷 Wine tasting in Saint-Émilion

Maison Galhaud: 1 Place du Chapitre et des Jacobins - 33330 Saint-Emilion

A friendly tasting to discover local wines in the heart of this medieval village. Two private tours (for us) of the winery (in French and in English) will start just a little after 5pm for those of you wishing to learn more about this Grand Cru's winemaking process. Tasting and tour are free and purchasing a bottle is encouraged but not required.

RSVP kindly requested by May 20th

Rain plan: Maison Galhaud is mostly inside, in a cave

Dress code: upscale casual

Sunday 21st - 10am-3pm

🥐 Brunch, padel, swimming pool & pétanque

Back at Chateau de Lussac

A fun, more casual, hangout at the castle. The couple will arrive at 11am for yoga, and then stay. Bring your swimsuit for pool time or your tennis shoes to play padel. Showers available, if needed. Pastries and racquets provided.

RSVP kindly requested by May 20th

Rain plan: the fun will go on, just indoors! 11am yoga & board games & chats

Pray for sun at all the best times!
