For those who are able to arrive to the region a bit earlier, we’ve planned a few optional activities throughout the week to spend more time together.
Everyone is welcome.
The below times are subject to change. Please check back in, come June, for solidified times.
The following activities (Wed & Thurs) are about 1.5 hours from the wedding venue, on the coast (west of Bordeaux):
Wednesday 17th - 7-10pm
🍸 Cocktails & sunset at La Corniche
46 Avenue Louis Gaume, 33115 Pyla-sur-Mer
A relaxed evening drink at this beautiful hotel with a (9:53pm) sunset view over the Atlantic.
RSVP not required, but welcomed

Dress code: upscale casual
Thursday 18th - 10am
🏄 Paddle boarding on the Bassin d’Arcachon
Meeting point: Plage du Moulleau
A leisurely paddle along the coast.
Approximate cost: €20 for board rental, €8 wetsuit rental (optional)

Rain plan: we'll likely have to adjust the time or cancel if there's a storm. You've RSVP'd, so we'll keep you updated!
Thursday 18th - 3pm
🏜️ Climb the Dune du Pilat
Route de Biscarrosse RD 218, 33115 Pyla-sur-Mer
A short, steep walk to the top of Europe’s highest sand dune, with stunning views over the ocean and the forest. If you're coming to Arcachon, this is a must!
€7 to park. We'll meet just past the parking lot at the Tourist Information Center.
RSVP not required, but recommended
Rain plan: If it's raining more than a sprinkle, we'll go get afternoon oysters at Les Richesses d'Arguin (12 Quai Port de la Hume). Message us to confirm. Try to check out the dune independently Friday!
Dress code: For the dune, wear either sneakers or slip on sandals to go barefoot. You could also go for a swim here. Les Richesses is also very casual.
The following activities (Fri-Sun) are close to the wedding venue, in wine country (east of Bordeaux):
Friday 19th - 5-7pm
🍷 Wine tasting in Saint-Émilion
Maison Galhaud: 1 Place du Chapitre et des Jacobins - 33330 Saint-Emilion
A friendly tasting to discover local wines in the heart of this medieval village.
RSVP kindly requested by May 20th
Rain plan: Maison Galhaud is mostly inside, in a cave
Dress code: upscale casual
Sunday 21st - 10am-3pm
🥐 Brunch, padel, swimming pool & pétanque
Back at Chateau de Lussac
A fun, more casual, hangout at the castle. The couple will arrive at 11am for yoga, and then stay. Bring your swimsuit for pool time or your tennis shoes to play padel. Showers available, if needed. Pastries and racquets provided.
